I guess I was just born a drummer!  As a young boy my mother was always getting on to me for tapping on the table and getting out her pots and pans and beating on them with spoons.  Wooden ones were the best.  Got my first set of drums from my grandmother for Christmas in 1969 and as soon as I got them out of the box, I was able to keep a beat.  My older brothers had a record collection and with a set of headphones I was in my own little world.  Moved from Indiana to Jefferson City, Tennessee that same year.  I started in 5th grade playing percussion at the Jefferson County High School.  I persuaded the band director to let me bring my trap set in for our Christmas Concert.  This led to playing in the pep band and putting together other musical groups.  Jefferson City being a small town didn’t have many drummers.  However, it is a college town and by 7th grade, I joined a group of college students and we formed a band called Lunar Dawn.  I remember them sneaking me in the back door for fraternity parties and also played a few bars.  Started singing after High School mainly because we had players but no vocalists.  My main influences were Don Henley, Eddie Money, and Bad Company.  In 1981 we moved to Cookeville Tennessee.  At that point, music took a backseat to raising a family and starting our business.  As my children grew older, I was able to put more time into my life long passion.  I have been music partners with Jeff and AJ for over 13 years now and the music just keeps getting better.  I would like to see this go another 13 or maybe longer.  We have been blessed to be able to do what we do and I always look forward to whatever God has planned for me.
