Butch Witcher

Butch began his career in high school as a lead guitarist, playing in bands with former LEGACY keyboard player, John Cassetty where they played for local dances and bars in middle Tennessee.  After high school, the band hit the road and had a successful run playing the fraternity party circuit and club circuit all over the southeast.  During that era, the band opened for major acts such as Sugarloaf, Grass Roots, and others.  After taking an extended period of time away from music due to a career change and to raise a family, the love of music and performing crept back in.  After switching from lead guitar to bass, playing genres that included bluegrass, country, and southern rock, he played in bands that opened for such artists as Marshall Tucker Band, Kentucky Headhunters, Craig Morgan, Exile, Daryl Worley, Big and Rich, and others.  Butch began playing classic rock as bass player for LEGACY in 2012 where he has been able to implement his own style of music as influenced by the pocket style of Dusty Hill of  ZZ Top to the more melodic style of Dave Hope of Kansas.
